Preview of Fall....JCrew Style

Yes it is may just be the middle of Spring but in the Fashion world, Fall season is coming upon us. We couldn’t help but get excited for Fall after previewing J.Crew's Fall 2010 look book. We love how they layer different textures and colors (especially Fur and the camel color tones).... Also we love the tights with shorts, yes As much as we can't wait for the Summer season to start; this got us excited about what we will wear this Fall season!

music festivals... a style guide

Summer marks a season of music festivals. These always pose a serious style problem. You want to look effortlessly chic, stay warm and / or cool, match the ultra cool crowd and be able to walk, dance, etc for hours on end. Here are some seriously stylish women to help you out!

Key Items from the Bottom Up:

• Flat boots (Hunter Rain Boots, Flat / Short Cowboy Boots)
• Something Short (denim cut-offs, romper, short / flowery dresses or skirts)
• Loose Top (vintage rocker tee, light blouse - over a bathing suit top if you're so inclined
• Great Bag - we suggest cross body
• Killer Sunglasses or Hat (for sun protection and a hip look).

Tie-Dye time....

Ok, it is official.... Tie-Dye is back. It is no longer just used for dressing up for a costume party. You can wear as much or as little as you like.... opt for tie-dye dress or for a scarf. If you are a bit shy about wearing this trend, stick to one accessories piece - just add a hint of it. You can always stick to more neutral colors to make it more subtle as well.

Flare out....

I don't think we'll give up our skinny jeans until looooooooong after they have lost their lustre BUT we've been seeing a different look in denim lately...

the FLARE! You'll start seeing this more and more (trust us) so here's a quick tip on how to wear it. Just like wearing a more blouson top with your skinny jeans to balance your silhouette you'll want to wear a more form fitting top with your flares. These are great with flats too so grab a pair for a slightly retro, comfy, weekend look.

Color Combo....

We are loving the color combination of Blue + Gray these days.... maybe it is the recent rainy weather but there is something about pairing these colors together that looks classic yet updated. Next time you grab white to go with your blue, switch it with gray to a fresh look.
